Bill Rubin Candidate for Philadelphia City Council in the 10th District
I believe there are certain times in history where the need for real change is evident.
Such a time is now in Philadelphia!
With 6 new members for sure and the chance for you to elect a new representative in the 10th District it’s time to change the face of City Council!
My vision is a Northeast:
• Where senior citizens on fixed incomes can still afford to live without fear of not being able to pay their bills!
• Where children can play safely on our playgrounds!
• Where children can become educated in good schools!
• Where small business can prosper and industrial business can once again thrive!
• Where the unemployed and under employed can realize their potential!!!
Far Northeast residents pay an enormous amount of real estate taxes, and while our current Councilman touts the fact that he votes no, but how does that really help when we keep paying more? There has been a 14% rise in our real estate taxes over the last two years, I know we are all willing to pay our fair share, but enough is enough! We need real solutions not just futile votes. We have all heard and read election promise after election promise about adding more police and fire personnel to our respective districts, but the reality is we are getting less and less. Rolling brownouts and undermanned police districts are just simply unacceptable. With no new classes being formed for either group, and uniformed people retiring and leaving in record numbers the time to speak out is now.
It’s time for a full time Councilman in the 10th District and that is precisely why I have decided to run!!!
